Resolution

fig.6 This shows the land that was divided up when the final agreement was settled.

The whole genocide of the Native Americans could have been avoided if the Europeans  had not come over in the first place. Also, if they had not brought over all the diseases from their home countries since “ diseases escaping the control of the colonists caused most of the deaths.” If the diseases haven’t had come over the death rate would have been much lower and probably wouldn’t have had this situation end up in such a massive killing of the Indians. Another way that this could have been prevented is that if the colonist would have peacefully distributed the land and not killed and took over the Native American lands. The two enemies had,“by the early 1630s,...negotiated a truce, which was often violated by both sides.” If the Native Americans would have signed the truce then the whole disagreement would have probably never happened. But since they didn’t sign the treaty then both sides got heated and went against each other. Those are some ways how this could have been resolved.  If the Europeans would have gone to another part of the world that wasn’t as populated with the native Americans than it wouldn’t have had turned into such a big deal and a mass killing and genocide. However, the Europeans that settled into the Americas should have the right to live where they want. Therefore, they should have learned to live with the indigenous peoples, rather than simply kicking them out of their land. The two groups could have peacefully traded and lived together. However, when the Europeans got too greedy, the result was a series of wars that lasted for decades.
