The Cost

fig. 3 This shows the Europeans running out the Indians.

This  ongoing war between the natives and the Europeans was very costly for both sides in the conflict. The price it took the Native Americans to heal the from the diseases was high. Also, with less tribe members, it was harder for those still living to survive. As the Indians tried to fight back the colonists,“rushing these uprisings took over three years, cost almost 600 million marks, and involved 14,000 soldiers transferred from the German army.”(Gellately).  The money that is involved in doing that is very high and costly. Also the cost for shipping everyone over to North America was very costly. The Europeans may have been victorious, but it was “at the cost of ignoring the lives of the numerous amounts of Native Americans.”(Gellately). That states that the amounts of deaths and killings that happened cannot be ignored. No amount of money can be paid to make up for the loss of all of those that died during this major conflict.
